For the past 26 years the Volunteer Recognition Banquet has provided the forum for area organizations to put a spot light on those who go the extra mile to make your organization and, in turn, the community a successful and wonderful place to live. The CRC is proud to provide this opportunity and deliver a fun filled evening at the same time on Friday, November 14th at Chelsea Community Hospital.
“Name That Tune” is the 2014 event theme. Sticks & Picks String Band will be in the house, providing the “tunes” for participating contestants to “name” in order to win prizes and share lots of laughs among their friends, family and fellow volunteers. In addition, a wonderful silent auction with items from area businesses and artisans, new and returning, will help you get started on your holiday shopping….and, to keep things interesting, a variety of prizes will be given away throughout the evening.
The cost per attendee is $45, part of which is considered a tax deductible donation to help the Community Resource Center fulfill its mission of serving area families and individuals in need. Again this year we are offering a special value for organizations that fill a table – buy 5 seats, get 1 free!
So, for organizations ready to nominate one or more “super” volunteers:
• Fill out the Volunteer Recognition Nomination Form. Include information on why your nominee is so valuable to your organization, plus any other volunteer activities, past or present, he/she may be involved in.
• Ask your nominee to make his/her dinner choice and include this information for any other guests your organization is paying for on the Dinner Reply Form.
• If you have more than one nominee, please fill out a separate form for each person unless you are nominating them as a group, in which case provide information on their collective effort.
• Mail or drop off a check payable to the Community Resource Center. The cost is $45 per person. We encourage your group to fill a table of 6 – buy 5 seats, get 1 free!
• Turn in your nomination no later than Friday, October 24 to insure your nominee is included in the selection for special awards and the program.
• If you are nominating an individual for the Little-Rhees Posthumous Award nomination form, please use the special form for that nomination.
