Stress Less with Mindfulness class series introduces participants to the experience and practice of mindfulness to reduce stress. Mindfulness can be defined as paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally. Research has shown that the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction courses are effective in reducing stress-related symptoms such as worry, depression, and physical tension, and be helpful in managing cardiac disease and diabetes.
When: Tuesdays 6:00 to 7:00 pm
Nov. 11- Session 1- Begin with the Breath
Nov. 18- Session 2- Mindful Eating
Nov. 25- Session 3- Mindful Walking/Thought Surfing
Dec. 2 – Session 4- Be Kind to Your Mind
(Note there is no class Dec. 9)
Dec. 16 – Session 5- Laughter is Good Medicine
